Kelly Wearstler + design books = 2 of my favorite things!

So, a few years ago at the book store my mother & I stumbled on the design book Domicilium Decoratus & since I've been totally in love with the author, Kelly Wearstler & her brilliant designs. Anyway, I love her work, Web site & was très delighted to see an article featuring her in The New York Times this week.

Here's the article.

Here's a bio on Wearstler.

Great NYT Decorating/Style Article

I love this article from The New York Times: "When Perfect is Not the Goal." I dig it.

More Stella!

So, I've already raved about Stella McCartney's running gear for Adidas in a previous post, but I'm also in love with her swim line for the company. Perfect for the triathlete!

Running Gear for the Girl's Girl

SUPER particular about what I wear to run in! It's one of the things that my running coach taught me that stuck. Cotton=bad. Running can be difficult enough at times, so why wear clothes that work against you?

Anyway, running clothes are not always the most stylish. BUT, I've run across the new collection from Stella McCartney for Adidas. LOVE it. Love Stella. Love what she stands for as far as animal rights & environmental issues go.

You can check out the full collection + her gear for other sports & a short bio on Stella on the Adidas web site. Enjoy!

My New Blog

Why blog? I'm asking myself the same question. 1) some amazing design/style blogs have inspired me to do my own & 2) As a student, I have a surplus of ideas but a shortage of ways to express them currently (surplus & shortage, yeah, I just completed an econ class, folks)!

Direction: well, as of now, this blog has none. I just want to blog about things that interest me. Running, baking, design, party planning, politics, style, travel, etc. The title (I may or may not change it in the future) sums up who I am. I'm the girl's girl. I love dresses & jewelry & baking, etc. But, alas, don't be fooled, I'm a TOTAL feminist at heart!

Anyway, I'm just doing this for myself & my own sanity, but thanks for stopping by! Feel free to contact me with any input/thoughts you may have!
